Legal & Disclaimers
Last updated June 2026. This page is maintained by PharmaCalc Pro to answer common questions about the appropriate use of the calculator suite.
Medical disclaimer
PharmaCalc Pro is provided for educational and reference use only. All results — including dosing, body surface area, creatinine clearance, MME conversions, reconstitution volumes, and pediatric estimates — are computed from standard, publicly documented formulas (Cockcroft–Gault, Mosteller, Du Bois, Devine, CDC MME conversion factors, Young's Rule, Clark's Rule, and others).
The tool does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for the clinical judgment of a licensed pharmacist, physician, nurse practitioner, or other qualified healthcare professional. Always verify results against current institutional protocols, drug references, and pharmacy software before acting on them.
No warranty
PharmaCalc Pro is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will always reflect the most current clinical guidance.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PharmaCalc Pro, its operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including, without limitation, damages for personal injury, adverse patient outcomes, lost profits, or loss of data — arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
You are solely responsible for verifying every calculation before applying it to a patient. Use of this tool constitutes acceptance of this limitation.
Data privacy & patient context
The optional Patient context feature (name, age, sex, weight, height) is stored only in your browser's local storage to pre-fill calculator inputs. It is not transmitted to our servers and is not associated with your account.
Calculation history is stored locally by default. We strongly recommend that you do not enter protected health information (PHI) or any patient-identifying details. Use initials, MRN aliases, or no identifier at all. PharmaCalc Pro is not a HIPAA-covered service and is not intended as a system of record for patient data.
Account email, subscription status, and billing metadata are processed by our authentication and payment providers to operate the service. We never sell personal information.
Product analytics. To understand which calculators are most useful and to improve the product, we record lightweight, anonymized usage events (for example: a calculator was viewed, a calculation was performed, an upgrade button was clicked, a PDF was exported). These events are tied to an anonymous session ID and — if you are signed in — to your account ID, never to inputs, results, or any patient details. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Pro members can see their own aggregated usage in the Account page.
Helps us improve PharmaCalc Pro by counting which calculators are used. No inputs, results, or patient data are ever sent. Toggle off to stop sending events from this browser immediately.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misrepresent PharmaCalc Pro output as professionally reviewed advice, not to use the service in any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful, and not to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
